WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State women's basketball team is set to host the Concordia-St Paul Golden Bears this weekend.
Currently sitting at third overall in the NSIC, Winona State will look to continue their dominance for the top spot in the conference this weekend. WSU will match up against the CSP Golden Bears on Saturday, January 3rd at 3:00pm.
WSU is excited to announce all ticketing will be fully digital this year. All fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online before arriving at the venue.
Cash will not be accepted at the gate.
Winona State Notes:
- The Warriors have a 9-4 overall record and go into the new calendar year with a 6-1 record in the NSIC putting them at third in the conference.
- Winona State is averaging 69.5 points per game while giving up 63.4 points per game and shooting 43.4% from the field.
- WSU will be under the direction of fourth-year head coach, Ana Wurtz, who will bring lots of experience to the Warriors.
- Hailey Markworth leads the team in points per game (14.2), rebounds per game (6.7) and steals per game with 15 total.
- Vivica Bretton is the leader in assists for the Warriors with a total of 45 this season.
- Breah Golden leads the charge from the charity stripe, shooting 100.0% from free throw.
- Sadie Jarmolowicz leads the Warriors in three pointers made with 27 while shooting 42.2% from behind the arc and is averaging 33.4 minutes per game
- Megan Schuman has put up a solid 10.9 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game after starting all 13 games for the Warriors this season.

- CSP has started this season with a solid 7-5 record and are 3-4 in their NSIC games so far this season.
- Junior Lauren Wilson leads the Golden Bears with 21.3 points per game with a 50.0% field goal percentage.
- Senior Lydia Haack leads Concordia-St Paul in three-point percentage with 39.0% on 23-of-59 shooting.
- As a team, the Golden Bears score 75.5 points per game and allow opponents to score 70.3 points.
