BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Winona State University Track & Field student-athlete
MacKenzie Wissbroecker earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week after an impressive showing at the Mark Guthrie Invite.
Wissbroecker, a freshman from Antigo, Wis., beat the field in the long jump with a meet-record distance of 5.97m (19'9"). In her first year with the Warriors, Wissbroecker has set the Winona State Indoor Track & Field long jump record twice with a jump of 6.02m (19'9") at the Bearson/Gathje Classic holding the top spot. Wissbroecker currently ranks tied for sixth in the nation with the 6.02m leap.
Winona State will next compete in the Maverick Premier Meet hosted by Minnesota State on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15.
