Mary saw themselves extend the lead just before the half up five points at 38-33 as the first frame buzzer sounded.

In half number two both teams would trade baskets, before an Isaiah Thompson layup would tie the game at 42 apiece with 16 minutes left. Trading the lead for multiple minutes in the second half, a Luke Haertle layup saw the Warriors up seven points with just over six minutes left in action. From then on WSU would not give up the lead, taking the contest 73-68.
