MANKATO, Minn. - The Winona State University track & field team broke more school records at the Maverick Premier #2 meet at Minnesota State, Mankato on Saturday, February 15.
The Warriors made the trip out to Mankato to compete in the Maverick Premier #2 where WSU made a statement. In the one mile run,
Samantha Harke placed third with a time of 5:02.13, just under two seconds behind Vivian Martinez who placed second.
Kylie Anderson took third place in the 5000m race with a time of 17:09.1, just nine second behind Hannah Preisser from Carlton who took second place.
Sasha Steinbach placed fourth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.77, just .03 milliseconds behind Ally Hammond, who placed third. In the 400m race,
Alyssa Larson placed fourth with a time of 59.07, .05 milliseconds behind Grace Hambel, the third place finisher.
In the long jump,
MacKenzie Wissbroecker took third with a distance of 6.02m, which tied her school record and also is the sixth best jump in the NCAA.
Hanna Reichenberger took second place in the triple jump with a distance of 12.31m, which broke the Winona State record and put her jump at ninth best in the NCAA.
The Winona State University track & field team will be back in action down at UW-La Crosse for the Eagle Open on Friday, February 21 with the first events starting at 3 p.m.
