WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University softball team will head down to Rosemont, Ill. to play against Grand Valley State, William Jewell, Purdue Northwest, and Lewis University in the Lewis Dome Invitational on Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23. 


Winona State Notes: 

• The Warriors are 6-0 on the season. 
• WSU has had four of their six games taken by the run rule. 
• Braelee Jodarski earned NSIC Player of the Week honors with her performances in the Grand View and William Jewell games. 
• Jodarski leads the team with homeruns (6), RBIs (17), and slugging percentage (1.500).
• Jordarski and Indigo Fish both lead in runs, collecting nine a piece. 
• Sam Keller leads the team with doubles (5) and on base percentage (.727). 
• Jayda Berg earned her first perfect game against Quincy University and on the mound leads in ERA (.82), WHIP (.53), shut outs (2), and has held teams to a .150 batting average. 
• Izzy Howe leads on the mound with strikeouts (17). 

Grand Valley State Notes: 

• The Lakers are 0-2 on the season. 
• Kylie Sinal leads the team with a .500 batting average and on base percentage (.667). 
• Mary Jane Goodman and Faith Edwards lead the team with a run a piece. 
• Sinal and Morgan Spicer lead the team with hits. 
• Sinal, Spicer, and Edwards lead in doubles all collecting one a piece. 
• Spicer leads the team with a 1.000 slugging percentage. 
• Karli Dorr leads on the mound with a 0.00 ERA in four innings and held the opponent to a .222 batting average.
• Christine Duch leads on the mound with four strikeouts. 

William Jewell Notes: 

• The Cardinals are 1-7 on the season. 
• Alexa Almejo leads the team with a .429 batting average, hits (9), and on base percentage (.478). 
• Amanda Chung leads the team with six runs.
• Almejo and Chung lead the team in slugging percentage (.619).
• Aomejo and Emma Jane Ogle lead the team in RBIs, both collecting six. 
• Chung and Ogle both lead the team in homeruns, both collecting two. 
• Sydney Parra leads on the mound with a 4.90 ERA, WHIP of 1.80, and oppenent batting average (3.04) in 10 innings. 
• Olivia Wood leads on the mound with 13 strikeouts. 

Purdue Northwest Notes: 

• The Lewis Dome Invitational will be the first games the Pride. 
• In the 2024 season, Kylie Dugan lead the team with a .446 batting average, hits (78), and on base percentage (.487). 
• Selena Michko led the team in runs (33), homeruns (11), RBIs (40), and slugging percentage (.623).
• Aubrey Shroyer led the team in doubles (10) and had nine stolen bases off of 10 attempts. 
• Jessica DeBoer, Michko, Allison Arnold, Amanda DeBoer, and Dugan all collected a triple last season.
• Maddison Roop led on the mound with a 1.88 ERA, shutouts (5), strikeouts (144), and opponent batting average (.223). 
• Gabby Paliska led on the mound with a 1.27 WHIP and one save. 

Lewis University Notes: 

• The Flyers are 4-6 on the season. 
• Nicole Magdziasz leads the team with a .486 batting average and hits (17).
• Delaney Garden leads the team with 10 runs, two doubles, .677 slugging percentage, and .579 on base percentage. 
• Anna Frafjord leads the team in homeruns (1) and RBIs (14). 
• Erica Hoffman and Ariana Trausch lead the team with stolen bases (3) off off three attempts. 
• Allie Wondrasek leads on the mound with a 1.77 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 29 strikeouts.
• Garden leads on the mound with opponent batting average (.270. 
• Both Garden and Wondrasek have one shutout a piece. 

The Winona State University softball will hit the road to play Grand Valley State and William Jewell on Saturday, February 22 with GVSU set to have pitch at 9 a.m. and fist pitch against WJC at 3:30 p.m. On Sunday, February 23 the Warriors will play Purdue Northwest and Lewis University with a start time of 10 a.m. against PNW and 2:30 p.m. start against Lewis University in Rosemont, Ill.
