WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University men's basketball team is set for another Wednesday, Saturday Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference weekend. This time facing off against  Augustana University on Wednesday, February 5 at 5:30pm inside McCown Gymnasium followed by a road game against Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday, February 8 at 5pm in Marshall, Minnesota. 

Winona State Notes: 

• Winona State holds a 15-7 record overall and 10-6 inside the NSIC. 
• The Warriors are coming off a weekend split, defeating Minnesota Duluth and dropping their contest on the road to Minnesota State. 
• Luke Haertle leads WSU in scoring at 17.0 points per game while also corralling 6.1 rebounds per game. 
• Isaiah Thompson collects 9.5 rebounds per game, leading the way for Winona State. 
• The Warriors defeated the Vikings earlier this season on the road but dropped their contest against SMSU. 

Augustana Notes: 

• The Vikings hold a 10-12 record on the year so far and 7-9 in the NSIC. 
• Augustana head coach enters his first season at the helm of the AU squad. 
• The Vikings dropped their last contest against Wayne State College 54-48 at home. 
• Leading Augustana in scoring is Tanner Te Slaa averaging 14.7 points per game while also collecting a team high 5.9 rebounds per game. 
• As a team the Vikings shoot 43.8% from the field and 34.4% from beyond the arc. 

Southwest Minnesota State Notes: 

• Southwest Minnesota State holds an overall record of 18-4 and 13-3 in the NSIC. 
• Head coach Brad Bigler enters his 16th season leading the Mustangs.  
• As a team SMSU shoots 49% from the field and 36.9% from beyond the arc. 
• Aeron Stevens leads the Mustangs in scoring at 15.1 points per game. 
• Leading SMSU in scoring is Mason Lund at 6.1 rebounds per game. 
• In their last contest Southwest Minnesota State defeated Sioux Falls 88-81.
