WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State Univeristy softball team will hit the road for their first NSIC weekend against Minnesota Duluth on Friday, March 21 and St. Cloud State on Saturday, March 22 after playing in The Spring Games over spring break.
Winona State Notes:
- The Warriors are 19-6 going into the first NSIC weekend.
- Sam Keller leads the team with a .442 batting average, 34 hits, four triples, and on base percentage of .533.
- Braelee Jodarski leads the way with eight home runs, 27 RBIs and a .773 slugging percentage.
- Both Keller and Logan Anderson lead the team with seven doubles.
- In the Circle, Izzy Howe leads with a 1.33 ERA, .98 WHIP, three shutouts, 92 strikeouts, and an opponent batting average of .163.
- On the spring trip, Nora Brandt earned her first win in the circle against California University of Pennsylvania.
Minnesota Duluth Notes:
- The Bulldogs are 20-8 going into the first NSIC weekend.
- Nicole Schmitt leads the team with a .467 batting average, 42 hits, nine home runs, 45 RBIs, .878 slugging percentage, and .551 on base percentage.
- Schmitt, Morgan McMillan, Kendal Jenkins, and Sierra Thomas all have collected and lead with eight doubles.
- McMillan leads the way with two triples.
- In the circle, Allyssa Williams leads with a 2.77 ERA, 62 strikeouts, and opponent batting average of .232.
- Also in the circle, Allison Luoma leads with a 1.37 WHIP.
St. Cloud State Notes:
- The Huskies are 21-7 going into the first NSIC weekend.
- Brooke Holmes leads the team with a .479 batting average, 46 hits, six home runs, 30 RBIs, .781 slugging percentage, and .532 on base percentage.
- Reese Holzhueter leads the way with 10 doubles and three triples.
- In the circle, Justyce Porter leads the way with a 1.65 ERA and opponent batting average of .236.
- Also in the circle, Macey Clark leads the way with 73 strikeouts.
- Lastly in the circle, Emma Eickhoff leads the way with a 1.12 WHIP.
The Winona State University softball team will travel up to the University of Minnesota Duluth on Friday, March 21 with games set for 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., then will travel over to St. Cloud State University on Saturday, March 22 for a 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. first pitch starts.
