WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University softball team will host a mid-week series against Concordia-St. Paul on Wednesday, March 26. The series originally scheduled to be in St. Paul, Minn. has been site-reversed to be in Winona, Minn.
The Warriors are coming off of a 3-1 weekend against the University of Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State University. WSU beat the Bulldogs 8-6 and 13-2 and split with the Huskies, 2-1 and 6-7.
Winona State Notes:
- The Warriors are 22-7 overall and 3-1 in the NSIC.
- Sam Keller leads the team with a .440 batting average, 26 runs, 40 hits, 4 triples, .747 slugging percentage, and a .518 on base percentage.
- Both Keller and Logan Anderson have eight doubles a piece.
- Braelee Jodarski leads with 10 home runs and 30 RBIs.
- Kiley Slaats leads with seven attempted and successful steals.
- In the circle, Izzy Howe leads with a 1.84 ERA, 98.2 innings pitched, 102 strikeouts, 1.01 WHIP, and an opponent batting average of .166.
Concordia-St. Paul Notes:
- The Golden Bears are 12-17 overall and 4-0 in the NSIC.
- Alexis Monty leads the team with a .406 batting average, 28 runs, and on base percentage of .463.
- Sydney Pelzer leads the team with 13 doubles, five home runs, 31 RBIs, and a .699 slugging percentage.
- Monty also leads with 17 successful steals out of 21 attempts.
- In the cirlce, Emmy Bowne leads with a 3.79 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts.
- Also in the circle, Tatum Dunlavy leads with 67.1 innings pitched and an opponent batting average of .265.
The Winona State University softball team will travel up to St. Paul, Minn. to play a weekday doubleheader against CSP on Wednseday, March 26 with a start time of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
