WINONA, Minn. – Four members of the Winona State University women's basketball program earned spots on the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team announced on Tuesday.
Olivia Gamoke,
Hailey Markworth,
Lindsey Hahn, and
Mattie Schimenz represented the Warrior Women's Basketball on the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District Team.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District women's basketball team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-American program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Gamoke, a senior from Onalaska, Wis., appeared and started in all 28 games for the Warriors this season, collecting a total of 358 points and surpassing the illustrious 1,000 career points. She also recorded a total of 24 assists and 19 steals.
Markworth, a junior from LaGrange, Ill., appeared and started in all 28 games for the Warriors this season, collecting a total of 314 points, 57 assists and 18 steals.
Hahn, a senior from Western Springs, Ill., appeared in all 28 games coming off the bench for the Warriors. She collected a total of 79 points, 25 assists, and 11 steals on the season.
Schimenz, a graduate student from Milwaukee, Wis., appeared in 27 games and started in 26 of them for the Warriors this season. She collected a total of 187 points, 62 assists, and 15 steals.
Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC All-Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-American honorees will be announced by April 16, 2025.
