WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University track and field team gear up to go compete in the Maverick Open #1 on Wednesday, April 30 hosted by Minnesota State, Mankato with events starting at 1 p.m.
The Warriors are coming off a great weekend at the Drake Relays and the Dick & Mary Johnson Invite. At the Drake Relay,
Ella Voit competed in the 3000m steeplechase and finished 10th,
Kylie Anderson took ninth in the 5000m race, and
Regan Feit took 14th in the 400m. At the Dick & Mary Johnson Invite,
Alyssa Larson took first in the 400m race, Karrisa Birch took third in the 400m race,
Stella Richter took third in the 100m hurdles,
Courtney Lukas took second in the 100m race and second in the 200m,
Jenna Anders took first in the 800m,
Caitlyn Casella took first in the 200m, the Warriors that competed in the 4x100, Birch, Larson, Anders, and
Brittany Beadles, took first,
Violet Schulteis took first in the 5000m,
Lexi Terwedo took second in the 5000m, and
Libby Ray took third in the 5000m,
Mari Mohling took fifth in the high jump.
WSU looks to continue their hot streak going at the Maverick Open #1. The Warriors that will be competing in field events will be Mohling and
Delaney Untz in the high jump, MaKenzie Wissbroecker in the long jump,
Hanna Reichenberger in the triple jump. The other Warriors competing in the track events will be Richter in the 100m hurdles,
Lani Hubka, Lukas, and
Megan Marr in the 100m race,
Reese Kuhlman in the 400m race,
Samantha Harke and
Josie Tieskoetter in the 800m race, Feit,
Emma Oden, Richter, and
Ariana Ryskoski in the 400m hurdles, Casella, Hubka, Lukas, Marr and
Danielle Saydee in the 200m race, and
Mady Dockendorf, Harke,
Caroline Hemann,
Mara Talabac, and Terwedo in the 1500m race.
