MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Winona State women's cross country continues stacking wins with another victory at the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota.
The Warriors had all five scorers in the top 12 while sweeping the top three places on the podium. Winona State won with a team score of 27 with Minnesota State scoring 66 to finish second.
Sophia Taarud paced the winning Warriors in her first race of the season with a first place finish at 22:19.4, 35 seconds ahead of teammate
Kylie Anderson in second with a time of 22:54.0.
Ella Voit rounded out the top three with a time 23:11.5.
Stella Rusch and
Kelsey Young rounded out the Warriors top 5 finishers placing ninth and twelfth respectively.
Winona State will race next at the Griffon Invitational in St. Joseph, Mo. on Saturday, Oct. 4th.
