WARRIOR SOCCER TIES WITH WOLVES IN ABERDEEN

ABERDEEN, S.D. - Winona State soccer wrapped up the first leg of their road trip to the Dakotas with a 1-1 tie with Northern State.

Northern State found the back of the net in the first half, and the Warriors responded with a goal in the second to earn a draw in the NSIC opener.
 

How it Happened:

After an early goal by Northern State at the 19-minute mark, the Warriors locked down defensively for the rest of the contest.

WSU continued to push the envelope outshooting the Wolves 9-8, with 5 shots on goal. The response from the Warrior attack came later in the game when Madison Barnick scored in the 52nd minute of the contest.

Annika Groendal and Abigail Rounds anchored the Warriors defense to stifle the Wolve's offense.
