WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State men's basketball finishes up its 2025-26 regular season with a road matchup at Minnesota State and a home contest against (RV) St. Cloud State.
The Warriors will first take on Minnesota State University, Mankato on Thursday, February 19 at 7:30pm. WSU is 64-97 all-time against the Mavericks, including winning a 83-75 home contest earlier this season on December 4, 2025. On Saturday, February 21, Winona State will battle the St. Cloud State Huskies at 3:00pm in McCown Gymnasium. This game will also be Senior Day for the Warriors. WSU is 53-105 in the all-time series with the Huskies, including losing 84-50 on December 6, 2025, in St. Cloud, Minn.
WSU is excited to announce all ticketing will be fully digital this year. All fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online before arriving at the venue.

- Winona State enters the week 9-16 (8-12 NSIC) after going 0-2 last week with a hard-fought 79-71 loss against SMSU and an 85-70 loss versus Sioux Falls.
- The Warriors enter the 2025-26 season ranked ninth in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Head Coach Todd Eisner is in his 11th season at the helm of the program. He is 167-134 during his tenure with the Warriors.

- Tyler Mason checks in at a team-best 14.0 points per game on 42.7% (122-of-286) shooting. Mason leads the team in FT percentage at 87.5% (49-of-56).
- Ryan Heise looks to continue his strong season averaging 13.9 ppg and 5.8 rpg. Heise scored a career-high 30 points against Sioux Falls last weekend.
- Gavyn Hurley adds 12.9 ppg and a team-high 6.9 rpg while Aidan Bardic leads the squad with 3.1 assists per game.
- Following this week, the Warriors will wait to be seeded for the 12-team NSIC Postseason Tournament. First Round matchups will take place on Wednesday, February 25 at the higher seed institutions.
Minnesota State University, Mankato Notes:
- MSU hosts Winona State after going 1-1 last week with a 95-83 loss at Augustana that snapped a previous 10-game winning streak for the Mavericks. They followed up their loss with an 81-69 road win over Wayne State.
- Minnesota State is 18-10 (12-8 NSIC) during the 2025-26 campaign.
- The Mavericks enter the 2025-26 season ranked third in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Head Coach Matt Margenthaler enters his 25th season at the helm of the MSU program. He has compiled a career record of 526-233 in his experienced coaching career at SMSU.
- The Mavericks average 78.8 ppg while allowing 74.0 ppg to opponents, good for fifth best in the NSIC.
- Traijan Sain leads MSU in points per game at 13.3 with Malcolm Jones recording 12.2 ppg and a team-best 7.6 rebounds per contest, good for third in the NSIC.
- Arhman Lewis also posts 12.2 ppg with 6.0 assists per game, good for second-best in the NSIC.
- Following their game against the Warriors, MSU travels to Concordia-St. Paul on February 21 at 3:00pm for their regular season finale.

- SCSU is entering the week red-hot on a 14-game winning streak after a pair of road victories last week over Wayne State (67-64) and Augustana (87-80).
- St. Cloud State is 21-5 (18-2 NSIC) during the 2025-26 campaign.
- SCSU won their first NSIC Championship this season in 50 years after their seven-point win over Augustana last Saturday.
- Head Coach Quincy Henderson is in his fourth year with the team. Henderson is 63-52 in his coaching career.
- The Huskies average 76.3 ppg while allowing an NSIC best 66.5 ppg to opponents.
- Luke Winkel leads SCSU with 18.4 ppg, good for sixth in the NSIC. He adds a team-leading 4.0 assists per game.
- Bob Briechen averages 12.1 ppg while Wyatt Hawks posts 11.6 ppg and a team-high 8.5 rebounds per game, good for second in the NSIC.
