HAILEY MARKWORTH AND VIVICA BRETTON EARN WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ALL-NSIC HONORS

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Hailey Markworth was selected to the 2025–26 All-NSIC First Team, with Vivica Bretton earning All-NSIC Second Team honors for Winona State women's basketball.

This season, Markworth averaged 15.9 points per game and knocked down a team high 87 free-throws. She led Winona State in points (446), rebounds per game (6.3) and steals (33). Markworth scored 20 or more points 10 times and reached double figures in 22 games, including a season-high of 27 which she achieved three times. Markworth became the 22nd Warrior in program history to eclipse 1,000 career points this season.

This season, Bretton averaged 12.0 points per game and garnered a team high 94 assists while averaged 4.9 rebounds per game. She was second on the team in scoring (335), third on the team in minutes per game (32.5) and first on the team in assists per game (3.4). Bretton scored double digits in 18 games, including a season-high of 20 points.
 
Winona State concluded their regular season with a 16-12 record, including a 13-8 mark in the NSIC – their best NSIC finish since the 2016-17 season. The Warriors hosted the Minot State Beavers in the first round of the NSIC Tournament and won the game in dominating fashion, 70-46. The Winona State Warriors will advance to the NSIC Tournament Quarterfinals on Sunday, March 1st at 1:30pm in Sioux Falls, SD at the Sanford Pentagon.
