BURNSVILLE, Minn. –
Peyton Coahran earned NSIC Men's Golfer of the Week after winning the Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational.
Coahran, a senior from Spicer, Minn., picked up one of the biggest individual wins in WSU men's golf history after defeating a field of 98 golfers, including nine ranked individuals. Coahran tallied rounds of 72 (E), 76 (+4), and 71 (-1) to finish three-over par for the two-day, three-round event. Throughout the 54 holes, Coahran carded nine birdies and 54 pars while leading WSU to a fourth-place team finish.
This is the third time Coahran has been named the NSIC Men's Golfer of the Week after winning it back-to-back weeks in the fall. Winona State is in action next week at the Firekeeper Open in Mayetta, Kan.
