NORMAN, Okla. – Winona State head golf coach Jeff Straight was named the 2026 NCAA Division II Golf Pride Grips Central Region Coach of the Year.
 
Straight led the Winona State men's golf team to their third straight NCAA Regional following a dominant regular season. The Warriors ended the 2025-26 year with five team victories, including the 2026 NSIC Team Championship. In recognition for Winona State's success, Coach Straight was also named the 2026 NSIC Coach of the Year.
 
Three Warriors were named First Team All-NSIC, Peyton Coahran was the NSIC Golfer of the Year, and Max Jericho was the NSIC Individual Champion. Coahran advanced to the final stages of the 2026 NCAA DII Championships and finished tied for 16th overall.
