WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State men's golf team is set to play in the NSIC Championships this weekend.
The NSIC Championships are being hosted in Smithville, Mo. at the Paradise Pointe golf course from Friday, April 17th to Sunday, April 19th. The championship will consist of a 54-hole tournament comprised of three competition days of 18 holes each.
Winona State Notes:
- WSU has eight top five finishes this season with four of them being first place team finishes.
- Peyton Coahran leads the Warriors with five wins with the most recent coming from the Tommy Riggs Invitational. Coahran this season has an average score of 71.1.
- Javier Ramos Casariego has finished in the top 10 or better at all but three events this season and averages a score of 72.6.
- Luke Maas has an average score of 72.4 and has finished second place in both the Jewel Invitational and MSU/CSP Fall Brawl.
- Max Jericho has been finding his motion in the spring season with a top 15 finish at the Firekeeper Open and NSIC Preview with an average score of 74.0.
- Logan Chouinard has secured a win this season at the V-Hawk Invitational along with a top three finish at the USF invitational and an average score of 74.9.
- Diego Olano and Tyler Gandrud round out the Warriors with an average score of 75.0 and 74.3, respectively.
