GRAND RAPID, Mich. --- The Winona State men's golf team will open the 2026-27 season, traveling to the NCAA Regional Preview meet, taking place Sept. 14-15 at The Meadows Golf Club.
 
The event will feature 18 teams, with WSU as the only NSIC school represented at the event.

The Warriors enter the 2026-27 as the NSIC preseason favorites after garnering 97 points in the preseason coach's poll. Javier Ramos Casariego leads the team after receiving NSIC Preseason Men's Golfer of the Year honors. He finished tied for eighth in last year's conference championship meet and had a stroke average of 72.8 to earn All-NSIC First Team honors.
 
WSU looks to continue off last season's success, where the Warriors won five team meet titles that included the 2026 NSIC Men's Golf Championship. Winona State also took seventh at the NCAA Division II Super Regional as a team, marking the squad's highest finish at the regional since 2007.
