Warriors Dominate Jamestown 28-0 for First Win of Season

WINONA, Minn. --- Winona State used a dominant start-to-finish performance to earn its first win of the season, taking down Jamestown 28-0 at Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

WSU improved to 1-2 with the win, while Jamestown fell to 0-3 on the season.

Jackson Flottmeyer completed 15 of 23 passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns. Jahmani Muhammad added 17 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown, while Nolan Ginskey caught four passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Brent Jeske led the Warriors with eight tackles, including five solo stops, while Kevin Lewis and Ethan Doucette each added five tackles.
 

The Warriors got off to a quick start on the opening drive, as Flottmeyer completed all three of his pass attempts for 58 yards, including a 40-yard touchdown pass to Ginskey. Winona State added its second touchdown on a 14-play drive, with Flottmeyer connecting with Muhammad on a two yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter.
 

Winona State added one more score before halftime on a 3-yard touchdown run from Muhammad, capping a seven-play, 56-yard drive to give the Warriors a 21-0 lead with 5:51 remaining in the half. WSU added the final score early in the fourth quarter when Flottmeyer found Ginskey for a 14-yard touchdown pass in the end zone.

As a team, the Warriors totaled 364 yards of offense while holding Jamestown to 174 yards. Winona State also moved the ball efficiently, picking up 21 first downs compared with eight for the Jimmies.
