Jordan Zimmerman

Jordan Zimmerman is in his first full season on the Warrior staff as a volunteer assistant coach. As a volunteer assistant coach, Zimmerman focuses on position player development, with an emphasis on hitting and infield play.
Zimmerman spent four years playing professional baseball in the Los Angeles Angels organization. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 2016 MLB draft out of Michigan State University. In his final season of professional baseball, Zimmerman reached Double-A Mobile BayBears, where he slashed.272/.321/.416.
Prior to his professional baseball career, Zimmerman played three years of college baseball. In 2015, Zimmerman joined the Michigan State Spartans, where he helped bring the team to the top 25 in national polling. He was named 2nd Team All-Big Ten after finishing the season with the second highest batting average in the Big Ten,.374. His season also included nine home runs, 37 RBIs, 17 doubles, and an OPS of 1.055. Before Zimmerman joined the Spartans, he spent two years at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona. During his freshman season, Zimmerman helped the Thunderbirds capture a NJCAA DII World Series title. At the tournament, he was named MVP after breaking the tournament RBI record with 14 RBIs, and going 14 for 28 at the plate. He was also named Marucci Sports Elite Hitter after securing First Team All-Region Division II. After winning the NJCAA DII championship, Zimmerman went to play for the Palm Springs Power in the Southern California Collegiate League. The Power went on to win the SCCBL championship, and Zimmerman was named player of the year.
Once Zimmerman’s baseball career concluded, he went on to receive his B.A. in Economics from Michigan State University. He now resides in Galesville, WI, with his wife, Abagail Zimmerman, and their two goldendoodles, Finn and Gypsy. He works full time at Merchants Bank in Winona, MN.
Zimmerman was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, to Bob and Sandy. He is the youngest of three boys. He attended Mesa Red Mountain High School and was a three-year varsity starter for the baseball team. He ended his high school career with a batting average of .404 and was selected to 1st Team All-State his season year.
