Dan Wernick

Dan Wernick is in his second season on the Winona State coaching staff and first year as an assistant after a standout career as a quarterback at Culver-Stockton. Wernick spent the 2011 season working with the team’s defensive backs and will work with wide receivers during the 2012 campaign.

Wernick helped coach all-NSIC selections Chris Norgaard, Ryan Williams and Lucas Wolf in 2011. Winona State intercepted 15 passes on the year, returning three for touchdowns.

Wernick spent the last two seasons as the starting quarterback at Culver-Stockton under Winona State co-offensive coordinator Cameron Keller. Wernick was an all-conference selection as a senior after throwing for 939 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 476 yards and six scores. He was a Daktronics All-Academic selection at the completion of the season as well.

Wernick began his collegiate career at Grand Rapids Community College. The Alma, Mich. native graduated with a degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology from Winona State in 2012. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Educational Leadership at Winona State.
