Katie Berkopec is entering her second year as the graduate assistant coach at Winona State during the 2015-16 season.
Berkopec comes to WSU after spending a season as an assistant coach for Ripon College (Ripon, Wis.), primarily serving as a goalkeeper coach. Berkopec also serves as a youth soccer coach, coaching the girls' under 11 Oshkosh United Soccer Club and the girls' under 11 Bloomington United Soccer Club.
She also spent time as a goalkeeper trainer at UW-Oshkosh in 2014 before taking the Ripon coaching job.
Berkopec played for UW-Oshkosh from 2010 to 2013, playing goalkeeper for the Titans and starting for them in the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
Berkopec graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education.Â
