Warrior Soccer Falls To Minot State 1-0 In Overtime

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Winona State soccer team battle hard but fell 1-0 to Minot State thanks to an overtime goal Friday afternoon in the NCAA Tournament at Jennies Field in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Deadlocked in a 0-0 battle headed to overtime, it continued to be a defensive effort, but the Beavers' Ninfa Ramirez got a good look in the 99th minute that beat Rachel Oleson and found the top left corner of the net for the win.

The Beavers held a 14-5 advantage in shots, a 7-4 edge in shots on goal and a 7-1 lead in corner kicks.

Freshmen Chase Rehm and MacKenzie Challoner, junior Meg Riebau and senior Nicole Sames each posted a shot on goal for the Warriors, while senior Mehan Bolton accounted for the other shot.

Winona State finishes its season with a 13-6-3 record and its third consecutive and seventh overall appearance in the program's history.
