MINOT, N.D. – The Winona State (6-6-1, 3-6-1 NSIC) women's soccer team was unable to overcome a 2-0 deficit to at half as they fell 1-2 to Minot State (10-1, 9-0).
Minot State would get two scores from Ninfa Ramirez, in the 7
th minute and 33
rd minute to stay undefeated in NSIC play.
Winona State had 15 shots and 10 shots on goal. Minot State had 19 shots and nine of those were on goal. The Warriors would have just two corner kick opportunities while Minot had nine.
Darian Molter had five shots with three on goal, while
Abby Bohanski and
Alyssa Reynolds would each contributed two shots on goal.
Darian Molter would score the lone goal for the Warriors in the 89
th minute of action, with an assist from
Courtney Wiencek.
Rachel Oleson was back in the next, as she has not played a full 90 minutes since September 4
th, she would allow two goals and have seven saves.
Winona State's
Justice Menge would receive a yellow card in the 71
st minute.
The Warriors will face U-Mary (2-6-3, 2-5-2 NSIC) Sunday afternoon for a 1 p.m. start.
