MOORHEAD, Minn. – Winona State (20-3, 11-3 NSIC) picked up their fifth straight win and 20
th of the season on Saturday, beating MSU-Moorhead 25-16, 27-25, 25-17.
Danielle Rampart had ten kills to lead the Winona State offense.
The Dragons held a 9-5 advantage early in the first set but the Warriors would go on an 8-2 run to take a two-point lead. MSU-Moorhead pulled within one on a couple occasions but Winona State pulled away for a 25-16 win.
Much like the first set, the Dragons held a 9-5 lead and the Warriors again countered, tying the set at 12. It would remain close the rest of the set before WSU scored three straight points on kills from Rampart,
McKenna Larsen and
Lauren Kudronowicz to win the set.
The third set was close until the Warriors scored four straight points to go up 17-12. MSU-Moorhead never recovered and the Warriors won 25-17.

Larsen finished with 34 assists, 16 digs and seven kills.
Taylor Goar had 17 digs and nine kills.
Jamie Cairncross had 27 digs to lead the defense.
Kudronowicz had one solo block and three block assists to go with nine kills.
Maria Wrage had four block assists and seven kills.
Winona State finished with eight total blocks.
The Warriors hit .270 as a team and held MSU-Moorhead to .091 hitting.
