WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State softball team will look to shake off a rare three-game losing streak when it hits the road for six games this week. The Warriors travel to St. Paul for a Wednesday doubleheader with Concordia-St. Paul before making its longest trip of the season to Minot State Saturday and U-Mary Sunday.
LAST TIME OUT
The Warriors on Sunday dropped a pair of games against Minnesota Duluth that were moved to Winona due to weather, falling by scores of 3-2 and 10-2. The defeats marked the first time WSU lost both games of a doubleheader at Alumni Field since losing two to Augustana in April of 2011.
ABOUT THE GOLDEN BEARS
The Warriors and Golden Bears will be meeting for the 54th and 55th times in series history Wednesday, with the Warriors holding a 31-22 series lead. Last season, the Warriors swept a doubleheader with CSP, earning 4-1 and 9-0 victories at Alumni Field. Concordia sports a record of 11-21 on the season, with a 5-7 record in NSIC play. The Warriors and Beavers will be meeting for the 9th and 10th times in series history Saturday, with the Warriors holding a 5-3 series lead. Last season, the Warriors swept a doubleheader with MSU, picking up a pair of 4-3 victories at Alumni Field. Minot State possesses a record of 12-16 on the season with a 1-9 mark in league play. The Beavers are led by Ashley Hill's .380 batting average and Rachel Burdette's .378 average, while the duo each have a team-leading five home runs and 20 RBI on the season. In the circle, Alyssa Cornejo has a 6-4 record with a 3.74 ERA in 55.1 innings pitched, while Jenn Spencer is 3-9 with a 6.00 ERA in 69 innings pitched and Clarissa Ramirez is 3-3 with a 6.70 ERA in 43 innings pitched.

The Warriors and Marauders will be meeting for the 27th and 28h times in series history Sunday, with the Warriors holding a 20-6 series lead. Last season, the Warriors split a doubleheader with U-Mary at Alumni Field, winning the opener 8-0 before falling 3-2 in game two. U-Mary owns a record of 7-21 with a 1-8 record in NSIC play. The Marauders are led offensively by Taylor Mendez's .400 average, six home runs and 16 RBI. U-Mary uses a trio of pitchers, including Taylor Lara, who has a 2-4 record with a 4.79 ERA, MeLanie Rodriguez, who has a 3-11 record with a 5.01 ERA and Brieann Backes, who's 2-6 with a 5.03 ERA.
LYTHBERG'S GEM
Senior Hanna Lythberg tossed the 18th no-hitter in program history and first since 2012 in a 10-0, five-inning win over St. Cloud State Saturday in St. Cloud.
KARSTEN'S RECORD
Senior Reed Karsten became WSU's career hits leader with 276, surpassing Terra Halron's 267 from 2006-09. She's also currently tied for the most triples in a career with 17. Karsten this season leads the Warriors in nearly every offensive category, including batting average (.430), runs (28), hits (49), doubles (9), home runs (6), RBI (28) and slugging percentage (.702).

The Warriors return to Alumni Field for a trio of doubleheaders next week, hosting Minnesota State at 2 p.m. Tuesday before MSU Moorhead and Northern State come to town on Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17.
