ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Winona State gymnastics team scored a 191.175 in their triad meet with Lindenwood University and the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse. The Warriors set a new school record on the bars, scoring a team total of 47.675, .275 higher than their previous best.
Eboni Jackson led the Warriors with a three-way tie for first place on the beam event with a score of 9.750. Jackson was not too far off her school record all-around score of 38.800 she had last season. On the beam Jackson scored a 9.750, 0.125 off the school record held by Marnie Brys.
Alyssa Carroll nearly had a school record in the floor, scoring a 9.700 which is just .025 shy of the record held by Kassy Kroening and Jackson.
Winona State's 48.350 on the beam was the second highest mark in program history.
The Warriors team scored of 191.175 was just short of their school record 191.650, they set last season at the 2016 NCGA Championships. It was the second highest score in team history.
The Warriors scored on the vault was seventh all-time.
The Warriors will compete in Wisconsin next week as they take on the University of Wisconsin Stout on February 3
