MOORHEAD, Minn. – A day after netting her first two career goals, Chase Rehm concluded her stellar weekend with the game-winner in overtime for Winona State University at Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday.
The 1-0 triumph completed a perfect weekend for the Warriors on the road after notching a 3-2 win at Northern State on Friday in double OT.
Rachel Oleson recorded her fourth shutout of the season in net for WSU while recording a pair of saves.
Rehm's golden goal came in the 96th minute of action as Winona played a grueling 205 minutes of soccer on the road over the weekend.
Friday's hero, Abby Bohanski, assisted Rehm on the game-winning score. Bohanski has recorded at least one point in six of her last eight games.
The victory provides Winona State (9-6-1, 8-4-1 NSIC) with some much-needed breathing room in the crowded conference pack as teams enter the final week of playing looking to secure a tournament berth.
The Warriors final regular season home game is slated for Friday, October 27 against Concordia, St. Paul at 6 p.m. in Winona.
