WINONA, Minn. – No. 15 Winona State University breezed past Minot State University in a match that lasted less than one hour on Friday night in McCown Gymnasium.
The Warriors claimed their 13th straight-set victory of the season by scores of 25-7, 25-12, 25-6.
WSU allowed just 13 Beaver kills in the match while digging up 42 balls.
The Warriors needed just 19 swings to drill 15 kills in set one to amass a torrid .737 attacking percentage.
WSU committed just one attacking error in both the first and third sets of the night.
The Warriors recorded a pair of blocks in each set. Maria Wrage recorded three block assists as she closes in on the top 10 list in that category for Winona State. Lauren Kudronowicz had two solo blocks and is also inching towards Winona's top 10 in that column.
Kudronowicz floored three kills to claimed sole possession of 14th place in Warrior history, finishing the night with 840 kills in her career.
Danielle Rampart led all players with 13 kills, followed by Jordan Runge with nine. Wrage and McKenna Larsen had seven kills apiece.
Larsen chipped in 30 assists, eight digs and one block assist.
Winona State improves to 18-7 (12-5 NSIC) with its fourth straight win. Minot fals to 5-21 (1-16 NSIC).
The Warriors host U-Mary on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day at 1 p.m.
Kudronowicz, Larsen, Rampart, Maria Fruechte and Meghan Seymour will each be honored prior to the match as Winona's senior class.
