Warriors Welcome UW-Eau Claire For Brooke Baures "Smile On" Meet

WINONA, Minn. -  The Warriors are hosting the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Friday night in their Brooke Baures "Smile On" Meet. 

LAST TIME OUT:  The Winona State gymnastics team finished third at the Harley Invitational with a 186.850, led by a first place finish on the balance beam by Haruko "Sunny" Hasebe.

Hasebe landed a 9.625, her best bar performance as a Warrior, to put her in the top spot. Eboni Jackson scored a 9.725 to finish in third place on the floor exercise. Samia Taylor vaulted to fourth place with a 9.400. Katie Pipp Landed a 9.525 bar routine to finish in fifth place.

Jackson finished with a 37.225 all-around score, placing fourth of seven all around gymnasts.

AMONG THE NCGA:  The Warriors are currently ranked 5th in the NCGA D3 rankings with a team average of 187.61.

Eboni Jackson has moved to the top of the rankings with an all around average of  37.919. Jackson is also ranked 2nd on the floor event with an average of 9.688 and 3rd in the beam with average of 9.625.

Katie Pipp is ranked 5th with an average of 9.563 on the bars.

SHAKING THE BOOKS: So far this season the Warriors have already made their mark in the record books. The team has had a top ten performances in the vault, bars, beam and team total. 

LOOKING AHEAD: The Warriors will compete against Hamline University on February 21st.
