WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State gymnastics team won the Brooke Baures Memorial "Smile On" meet with University of Wisconsin Eau Claire on Friday night as they scored a 7
th best all-time team total of 188.400.
The Warriors won the bars, beam and floor events. The Warriors also scored a 47.800 on the beam, the 4
th best all-time event record.
Eboni Jackson and
Kelly Johnston both won events in the meet. Jackson won the Vault with a score of 9.550 and Johnston won the beam event with a 9.725.
Alyssa Carroll and
Kennedy Utz were in a three-way tie for second place with a score of 9.375.
Katie Pipp landed in a first place tie on the bars with a 9.650 and Haruko "Sunny" Hasebe landed a 9.625 for third place.
Jackson and Hasebe finished in third and fourth place on the beam with 9.650 and 9.525, respectively.
Jackson tied for first place with a 9.650 performance on the floor exercise and
Megan Tran came in third on the event with a 9.475.
The Warriors are back in the gym next weekend as they compete at Hamline University on February 17
th.
