WINONA, Minn - The Warriors are traveling to compete tonight at Hamline University and then this weekend will be at the Best of Minnesota meet, hosted by the University of Minnesota on Sunday.
LAST TIME OUT: The Winona State gymnastics team won their Brooke Baures Memorial "Smile On" meet against University of Wisconsin Eau Claire on Friday night, as they scored a 7th best all-time team total of 188.400.
The Warriors won the bars, beam and floor events. The Warriors also scored a 47.800 on the beam, the 4th best all-time event record.
Eboni Jackson and Kelly Johnston both won events in the meet. Jackson won the Vault with a score of 9.550 and Johnston won the beam event with a 9.725.
Alyssa Carroll and Kennedy Utz were in a three-way tie for second place with a score of 9.375.
Katie Pipp landed in a first place tie on the bars with a 9.650 and Haruko "Sunny" Hasebe landed a 9.625 for third place.
Jackson and Hasebe finished in third and fourth place on the beam with 9.650 and 9.525, respectively.
Jackson tied for first place with a 9.650 performance on the floor exercise and Megan Tran came in third on the event with a 9.475.
SHAKING THE BOOKS: So far this season the Warriors have already made their mark in the record books. The team has had top ten performances in the vault, bars, beam and team totals.
Last week at the Brooke Baures "Smile On" Meet the team again added another mark in the record book as they recorded a 7th best team total in program history. They also recorded an 5th best finish on the balance beam.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Warriors will head across the border as they take on UW-La Crosse on March 2nd.
