Winona, Minn. – Winona State remains undefeated all-time (25-0-1) against Wayne State College with a convincing 4-0 victory Friday night from Maxwell Field.
The Warriors netted four goals on their way to victory.
Abby Bohanski opened the scoring in the 20
th minute on a beautiful tic-tac-toe goal that was started by
Mikaella Sabinash and
Courtney Wiencek.
Alyssa Reynolds added another one before the first half expired on a close encounter shot right in front of the Wayne State Goalkeeper.
Wiencek joined the scoring party in the second half with her second goal of the season.
Darian Molter almost had a goal of her own, but it was called off by the official. FReynolds netted her second goal of the game just before the buzzer sounded past the Wildcats' Rachel Grisham.
Winona State definitely applied the pressure tonight. Four Warriors had multiple shots on goal in tonight's match. As a team, they managed to get 16 on net and 24 total.
Wayne State's Shelby Bullard was their top performer of the night tallying three shots and two on goal.
Rachel Oleson picked up her third win of the season to bring her record to 3-3-1. She faced 10 shots on goal and was able to put a mitt on all of them.
Next, Winona State (3-3-1, 1-0-1 NSIC) heads west to face Augustana University (S.D.) this Sunday at 1 p.m..
