Warriors win final dual at Gustavus Adolphus College

ST. PETER, Minn. – Winona State University won its final head-to-head dual of the season at Gustavus Adolphus College, 183.825-182.2. The Warriors went 4-1 this season in dual competition.

Winona State dominated the balance beam by claiming the top five finishing marks. Kelly Johnston placed first with a season-high score of 9.7. Cora Geiger (9.45), Katie Carling (9.15), Miranda Saathoff (9.15) and Anna Hiller placed second through fifth, respectively.

Alana Currin won the vault event for Winona with a season-high score of 9.475. Geiger claimed another second-place finish with a score of 9.4.

Leah Messelt and Kennedy Utz tied for second on floor exercise with scores of 9.425.

Carling placed fourth on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.25. Shelsea Zehr took fifth place in the event with a score of 8.95.

The Warriors will compete next at the WIAC Championships/NCGA Regional meet on Sunday, March 4.
