Winona State drops dual at UW-La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Winona State University posted a team score over 181 points for the fourth straight meet on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn't enough to keep up with the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse as the Eagles scored 187.55 points in the WIAC dual.

Senior Megan Tran recorded the Warriors' top finish with a fourth-place mark on the balance beam of 9.225. Cora Geiger placed fifth on beam with a score of 9.125.

On floor exercise, Shelsea Zehr (9.325) and Kennedy Utz (9.325) continued their strong seasons and finished in a fifth-place tie.

Maddy Bronson tallied a score of 9.3 on the vault to place fifth and also took fifth place on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.325. Anna Hiller placed sixth with a score of 9.275.

The Warriors return to McCown Gymnasium on Friday, Saturday 22 for their final home meet of the season against UW-Whitewater and Hamline University.
