Kyle Gendron pitched a gem over the first six innings for Winona State, striking out eight while allowing just three hits.

Winona State got on the board first off a Nick Nalewasnski RBI single in the fourth.

The Warriors doubled up their lead in the fifth on an RBI single from Sam Kohnle.

Wayne State (MI) took a 6-2 lead in the seventh off two separate three-run home runs.

Winona State got a run back in the bottom of the seventh off a Nick Herbst RBI single.

After a Wayne State (MI) run in the top of the eighth, Herbst and Tanner Williams hit back to back RBI's to cut the Wayne State (MI) lead to two.

Wayne State (MI) scored four in the top of the ninth and held the Warriors scoreless in the bottom of the inning to finish the game.

Nick Herbst went 3-for-5 with two RBI's in the loss.

Winona State left 15 runners on base in the game, their highest output of the season.

Nicolas Herold would take the loss for Winona State.
