Megan Flom reaches milestone in WSU's sweep over UMary

WINONA, Minn. – The #8 Winona State University volleyball ran away with another straight-set victory over the University of Mary, extending their win-streak to seven matches.

Megan Flom highlighted the day for WSU, recording her 1,000th career kill and etching herself in the Winona State volleyball record books by becoming the 14th Warrior to reach the impressive mark.

Flom also led all players with 11 kills, while Madison Rizner picked up eight of her own. Becca Pagel (5) and Rylee Vaughn (3) combined for eight services aces, while Pagel also led the Warriors with 18 digs. Bre Maloney led the way distributing the ball with 21 assists while Kami Knutsen recorded eight in the lone set she played.

The Warriors held the Marauders to a -0.087 hitting percentage, where they recorded just 15 kills on the evening and Winona State forced 24 UMary hitting errors. WSU hit for 37 kills with a hitting percentage of 0.253, Flom led the way for the Warriors hitting 0.611.

Winona State won with ease, taking the match 3-0 by scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-18. Fourteen different Warriors saw action on the court in the one-sided victory.

WSU hits the road for their final weekend of regular season play in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Warriors travel to MSU Moorhead for a 6pm matchup on Friday, Nov. 12 and then to Northern State on Saturday, Nov. 13 where first serve will be at 3pm.
