WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University women's gymnastics team will compete in St. Paul, Minn. on Friday January 14, where they will take on Hamline University, Wisconsin Oshkosh and Gustavus Adolphus College.
The quadrangular meet that will pit the Warriors against the Pipers, Titans and the Gusties will also mark the head coaching debut of Stephanie Geislinger, a former Warrior All-American gymnast tapped earlier this year to take over the Winona State program this past August.
At the meet, the Warriors will compete for the first time in nearly 700 days against Hamline and GAC, having last faced HU on February 22, 2020, and Gustavus Adolphus on January 9, 2020. All three programs, which compete in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) for women's gymnastics, had reduced schedules in 2021 but return to a full conference slate this year. WSU and UW-Oshkosh last competed on March 11, 2021, with the Titans edging the Warriors, 189.200 to 179.225 in McCown Gymnasium.
The Winona State squad will perform in the Walker Fieldhouse at Hamline starting at 6:30pm and a live stream of the meet is available on the Pipers website
