WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University women's gymnastics team hosts Hamline University in the second action of the 2022 season for the Warriors. WSU will see a familiar face in the Pipers, having most recently competed against HU last Friday, Jan. 14 in a WIAC triangular meet to start the season.Â
Friday's festivities will include a "Smile On" alumni event honoring past Winona State gymnasts and teams. Tickets for Warrior gymnastics events are available at the Winona State ticket office in the Integrated Wellness Center (IWC) 60 minutes before the start of the competition.Â

Winona State earned a runner up finish in a WIAC triangular meet last week at Hamline University.
Izzy Kropiwiec andÂ
Kaitlyn West earned second and third place, respectively, in the all-around competition last Friday.  Kropiwiec earned a composite score of 36.225 while West was at 35.325 for the Warriors.
For Winona State,Â
Kennedy O'Connor earned a runner-up finish in the vault with a score of 9.450, while Kropiwiec's score of 9.600 in the floor exercise was good for second place.Â
Breanna Ho had a fifth-place finish in the uneven parallel bars at 9.175, the best Warrior mark in that event.
The Pipers came in third place out of three teams with a score of 174.775, while Winona State earned a second-place tally of 178.750. UW-Oshkosh won the meet with a score of 185.650.
Hamline's Julia Cheely registered a fourth-place mark of 9.300 in the vault and the Piper's Danielle Jaworski finished in a three-way tie in fifth place with a 9.275.
HU's Madison Lieurance (4th place, balance beam, 9.125) Nikki Johnsen (4th place, all-around, 34.750) and Madeline Sowinski (5th place, all-around, 34.325) all featured prominently in the Piper's first competition of the season.
