EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The Winona State University gymnastics team returns to the road this evening, traveling to the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire to participate in a four-team event hosted by the Blugolds. The WIAC quadrangular will feature the Warriors, UW EC, the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and Hamline University and will start at 6 pm.
Winona State most recently completed their final home meet of the year, having hosted the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Titans on Feb. 10. In the WIAC dual meet, the Titans defeated the Warriors by a score of 190.375 to 181.900.
Against UW-Oshkosh, Winona State claimed the top two places in the all around, with
Bryce Stoltz earning champion honors with a 36.950, while Warrior teammate
Kaitlyn West was the runner up in the all around with a 36.150. For Stoltz, the accomplishment marked her second-straight all-around championship performance, having earned the same honor at Gustavus Adolphus College on Friday, Feb. 5.
On Friday in Eau Claire, Wis., Winona State will be competing in their first quadrangular since Feb. 28, 2020, when WSU competed against UW-Stout, UW-Eau Claire and Hamline in Menomonie, Wis.
