WINONA, Minn. - Fifty-four student-athletes from the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) were honored for their hard work in the classroom and in the gym as they earned All-America in Academics honors. Six Winona State Warriors were included among those earning the opportunity to join the prestigious list.
Hailey Bryant, Kaitlyn West, Allison Crescimanno, Katie Curtis, Hannah Matuszak and Gabrielle Johnson each earned the Academic All-American award following the 2021-22 season. The six awardees represent a three-year high for Winona State, with the 2021 award cycle netting three recipients and the 2020 award process yielding five.
The All-America in Academics Award is presented to each gymnast who maintains a 3.0 overall grade point average (GPA) and whose name appears on the team's NCGA squad list for the current year. Each nominee must qualify as a senior student academically and be in her last year of athletic eligibility.
