WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Winona State University women's gymnastics team is set to compete in the 2022 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Gymnastics Championships today, Saturday March 5. The WIAC competition is hosted by the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and will feature all eight WIAC gymnastics programs and also serves as the
National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional qualifier.
Winona State, under the direction of first-year head coach
Stephanie Geislinger, will be looking to build upon their progress over the course of the 2022 campaign.
Bryce Stoltz, named WIAC Gymnastics Athlete of the Week on Feb. 2, 2022, has led a Warrior squad which competed seven times during the regular season. WSU earned Geislinger's first Warrior win on Friday, January 21 when they defeated Hamline University in a WIAC dual meet, downing the Pipers 179.725 - 176.975. Winona State also claimed runner-up status in multi-team events on three occasions in 2022. Winona State finished the 2022 WIAC regular season in fifth place at 5-6-1 overall.
