BRANDON, S.D. - For the second time in two days, inclement weather had a significant impact on the Winona State University baseball team as they pursue a 2022 NSIC Baseball Tournament championship.
In their opener against Minot State University on Wednesday, May 11, Winona State sat through a five hour weather delay, returning to the field to earn a come-from-behind 8-7 victory over the Beavers on a
Dane Weiland two-run home run in the ninth inning.
On Thursday, the Warriors took on top seed Augustana University in the 4 p.m. game at First National Bank Park in Brandon, South Dakota. There, Mother Nature again intervened, this time with the game in the fourth inning and Augustana leading 5-2.
Winona State and Augustana will resume play Friday morning at approximately 10:45 a.m. For the latest in information and updates in the 2022 NSIC Baseball Tournament, please
