Winona State gymnastics competes at UW Stout in WIAC triangular

MENOMONIE, Wis. - The Winona State University gymnastics team competed at the University of Wisconsin Stout in a WIAC triangular meet on Friday, Feb. 3. 

The Warriors tallied a team score of 182.475. Host UW-Stout won the event with a team mark of 187.175 while Hamline took runner up honors with a 183.725 composite score.  

Kennedy O'Connor won the vault with a 9.700, the top Warrior finish in any event. O'Connor combined with Warrior teammate Jessica Miley to take two of the top three spots in the vault standings, with Miley taking third at 9.575. 

On the bars, Kaylee Bateman had the best Winona State score with a 9.350, good for fifth overall in the event. Taryn Sellner earned a tie for fourth in the balance beam, notching a 9.325, tying Hamline's Julia Hintermeister. The floor exercise saw Camdyn McSweeney earn the best WSU finish at sixth place overall, registering a score of 9.500. 

Jessica Miley earned a 36.625 mark in the All-Around, good for a second place tie with Gabrielle Winstead of UW Stout.  Stout's Kiara Brown won the All-Around with a 37.700 overall score. 

Winona State is next in action on Friday, Feb. 10 when they host Gustavus Adolphus on Senior Night. The Warriors and Gusties are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. in McCown Gymnasium, home of WNB Financial Court.
