WINONA, Minn. – Winona State University men's golf will be represented by freshman Alessandro Trenta at the NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Regional, hosted by Winona State University at The Bridges Golf Course.

Trenta holds a 73.0 scoring average over 22 rounds this season which includes a championship performance at the Regional Preview, held at The Bridges in September.

Trenta carded rounds of 73 (+2) and 68 (-3) to earn medalist honors at the season-opener and helped Winona State take home the team title. Trenta will look to use his familiarity with the Warriors home course to continue strong play at the regional.

The Central/Midwest Regional will be a three-day, 54-hole tournament featuring 20 teams and eight individuals from May 11-13. The NCAA Division II Championship Finals will be held at Avalon Lakes in Warren, Ohio on May 22-26.
