WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University gymnastics team is set to travel south to Cape Girardeau, Missouri for an out of conference triangular at Southeast Missouri State University on Friday, January 26.  Winona State, Southeast Missouri State and Talladega College will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Houck Field House. 

The triangular meet against the NCAA Division I Redhawks will feature a sold-out Houck Field House, the first sellout in facility history. The Winona State Gymnastics triangular will be live streamed on the fee-based ESPN+ at this link.  

Winona State has already added to the Warrior record book this season. WSU notched a team score of 47.350 against UW Oshkosh on January 19, the eighth-best score in program history. 

The trek down to Cape Girardeau, Mo. marks the longest trip of the year for the WSU Gymnastics team outside of the NCGA Nationals held in Collegeville, Penn. Following this weekend, Winona State Gymnastics will be home for two straight weekends,  facing off against UW-Whitewater in a dual meet on Feburary 2,  followed by a triangular with Hamline University and UW-Stout on February 8. 

Most recently, WSU competed at home in a dual meet against the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, falling to the Titans 183.500 - 190.225. Individually, leading the way for Winona State in the All-Around with a first-place finish was Bryce Stoltz, collecting a 35.975 across the vault, bars, beam and floor exercise. On the Balance Beam, Kaylee Bateman earned the highest score for Winona State, scoring a 9.525 good for third place. Additionally, on the uneven parellel bars Bateman was the top WSU competitor, scoring a 9.375, also good for third place
