MINOT, N.D. – The Winona State men's cross country team traveled to Minot, N.D., to compete in the NSIC Championship hosted by Minot State University, with the team tying for sixth in the men's 8,000 meters race.
Mitchell Johnstone led the charge for the Warriors with a time of 24:13.5, good for an eighth place finish. Not far behind was
Andrew Metcalf, finishing with a time of 25:11.0, followed by
Connor Norby with a time of 25:34.4.
Robert Spain was right on his heels with a finish of 25:39.2, followed by a 25:57.5 finish from
Mitchell Buerkle.
With his eighth-place finish, Johnstone earned First Team All-NSIC honors, making this his second consecutive year receiving this honor.
Next up for the Winona State men's cross country team is the NCAA Division II Regional on Saturday, Nov 9th. The event will start at 11am in Joplin, MO.
