WINONA STATE VOLLEYBALL SET FOR NSIC WEEK

WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University women's volleyball team is set to hit the road in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) where they face off against the University of Sioux Falls on Thursday, October 31 at 6pm. Following the Warriors match in South Dakota, the team heads back to McCown Gymnasium for a home match against Minnesota State University, Mankato on Saturday, November 2 at 4pm.  
 
The Warriors hold a 14-9, 7-5 NSIC record while the University of Sioux Falls posts a 12-8, 7-5 NSIC record. The Mavericks hold a 14-6, 6-6 NSIC record as well.  
 
Winona State Notes:     

  • Winona State holds a 14-9, 7-5 NSIC record for the year so far.  
  • WSU fell in five sets against #11 Concordia-St. Paul in their last contest.
  • Sidney Paulson led the Warriors with 18 kills in the loss to CSP last week. 
  • Ashlyn Steding has collected 34 service aces to lead the Warriors.      
  • Jaci Winchell has 487 assists to lead the Warriors.      
  • Abigail Savatski has 72.0 blocks this season. 
  • Senior, Kylie Welch averages 5.08 digs/set, good for fifth in the NSIC.  

Sioux Falls Notes:   

  • The Cougars hold a 12-8, 7-5 NSIC record so far this season.    
  • USF head coach Dan Mathews enters his fourth season at the helm of the Cougar squad.    
  • Sioux Falls most recently faced off against #7 Wayne State, dropping the match in five sets.   
  • Sadie Voss leads USF in kills so far this season (226).     
  • Leading the Cougars in assists is Elise Gillen (523).     
  • Sadie Voss has 237 digs on the year to lead the Cougars.  

  

Minnesota State, Mankato Notes:   

  • The Mavericks boast a 14-6, 6-6 NSIC record so far this season.    
  • MSU Mankato head coach Corey Phelps enters his 6th season at the helm of the Maverick squad.    
  • Minnesota State, Mankato most recently faced off against Augustana University, defeating them in four sets.   
  • Toryn Richards leads Minnesota State, Mankato in kills so far this season (203).     
  • Leading the Mavericks in assists is Brooke Bolwerk (499).     
  • Ellie Kline has 263 digs on the year to lead the Mavericks.  
  • Kiya Durant leads the NSIC with 72.0 blocks on the year.
