WINONA, Minn. - Four members of the Winona State University volleyball program earned spots on the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team announced on Tuesday. 

Jayda Berg, Lydia Lange, Sidney Paulson, and Jaci Winchell represented Warrior Volleyball on the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team.

The 2024 Academic All-District volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-American program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. 

Berg, a right side from Coon Valley, Wis., is a Biology major who appeared in all 30 matches for the Warriors this season, collecting 245.5 pts with 212 kills and 56 total blocks on the year.

Lange, an outside hitter from Caledonia, Minn., is a graduate student in the Leadership Education: Organizational Leadership program who appeared in 29 of the Warriors 30 games, gathering 223 total points, 207 kills, 24 total blocks, and 60 digs on the year.

Paulson, a right side from Jackson, Wis., is a graduate student in the Leadership Education: Organizational Leadership program who appeared in all 30 games for Winona State, collecting a team high 342 kills, collecting 24 service aces, 309 digs, and 42 total blocks on the season.

Winchell, a setter specialist from Cannon Falls, Minn., is a Nursing major who appeared in all 30 contests earning a team high 626 assists, 21 service aces and 246 digs on the year for Winona State.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-American honorees will be announced Jan. 9, 2025.
