ROLLA, Mo. - The Winona State University baseball team will open the 2024 season with a weather-altered four-game series on the road at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
The Warriors and Miners will play a pair of doubleheaders, with a twin bill set for Sunday, April 18 at 11 a.m. and another DH to take place on Monday, April 19, also with an 11 a.m. start.
Originally, the series was set for a Saturday, February 17 through Monday, February 19 time frame, but weather conditions in Missouri postponed the games.
In 2024,

Austin Beyer and
Peter Tveite were named as the Winona State Player and Pitcher to watch, respectively.
In 2023, Winona State finished 18-16 in the NSIC and 24-28 overall. The Warriors overcame slow start to piece together a strong second half to the season, earning 12-6 record in home contests. WSU qualified for the 2023 NSIC Baseball postseason, bowing out to Augustana in the third round.
In Missouri this weekend, WSU will see a Missouri S&T squad also opening up the 2024 campaign. In 2023, the Miners finished 24-24 overall and earned a 15-17 GLVC mark. The 2024 series between Winona State and Missouri S&T represents the first meeting of the two schools.
